Service Description

Community acupuncture is practiced in a group, rather than one-on-one, setting. This is the way that acupuncture is traditionally done in Asia. Don’t worry! You won’t be baring much skin. The treatments are on the front of the body and mainly on distal points (legs, arms, hands, feet, ears, etc.). You will zone out and relax in a cozy yoga studio for forty-five minutes or so with around five other people. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or blanket to lay on. When you fill out the form beforehand, I will get most of the information about your reasons for coming in. In the room, I will feel your pulse, look at your tongue, pop in a few needles and let you relax. Community-style clinics run on a sliding scale in order to make them more affordable, and so that people can get the amount of treatment they need in a shorter period of time. The idea is to make acupuncture as accessible as possible because studies show that regular treatments show better results.
