Fifteen acupuncture needles can fit inside one hypodermic needle that you get your blood drawn with. Because they are so thin, you can barely feel them penetrating the skin. What you can feel, or at least we hope you do, is the qi. This is the stimulation of the energy that moves your blood, makes your organs function, protects you from illnesses and repairs your injuries. The practitioner inserts the needles at very specific points on your body that have been tested, tried and true for over 2000 years. Each point has different effects on the body, so the practitioner will choose the point that will best alleviate your ailments.
