Gua Sha | Cupping

Service Description

Gua Sha is the gentle scraping of your skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow and drains the lymphatic system.. Your practitioner will use a smooth-edged instrument known as a gua sha tool with massage oil on your skin. In a cupping session, your practitioner will put alcohol into a cup and set it on fire. As the fire goes out, they put the cup upside down on your skin. As the air inside the cup cools, it creates a vacuum. This causes your skin to rise and redden as your blood vessels expand. The cup is either left in place or slid from place to place on your skin for a more dispersing effect.
